The newest addition to the Guildford food and drink scene is about to fling open its doors.  Cosy Club will open on Monday 18th June thanks to the Loungers Group.  Loungers has invested over £1m transforming the unit in Guildford’s newly developed Tunsgate Quarter, creating 40 jobs for local people.

Quirky, eccentric and playful Cosy Club offers informal casual dining, drinking and lounging in a unique and family friendly environment. Think mansion splendour meets village hall eccentricity. Cosy Club's menu majors on comfort food classics as well as offering an extensive brunch menu, a decent variety of sandwiches, and a great selection of tapas.

Amber Wood, Managing Director for The Cosy Club brand, says:

“At Cosy Club, we serve up a sense of being somewhere special with a hint of nostalgia.  From a lazy breakfast to family lunch or a night out in your glad rags, we’re set apart by the character of our team, elegance of our design and quality of our food and drink.  We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of such a fantastic development, steeped in history in the heart of Guildford. We’re looking forward to bringing some delicious food and quirky style to the people of the town.”

Mix matched tables and dining chairs, battered old cocktail armchairs, sleek 1930’s sofas and mid-century sideboards make you feel immediately at home.  The walls are adorned with flock wallpaper, William Morris classics, family portraits, flags, banners and iconic 50’s artwork peppered with the odd piece of taxidermy thrown in for good measure!  Vast Gothic chandeliers hang dramatically next to huge glass stars, French brass fittings and chintzy shades throwing light that is soft, sumptuous and elegant.

Whatever your tipple, Cosy Club aims to please.  You can expect excellent coffee and cake, an imaginative choice of soft drinks, a great selection of draught beers, cider and ale, an enviable wine list and, to top it off, a nicely proportioned list of classic cocktails.

Guests will be able to enjoy various deals which run throughout the week.  These include the Breakfast Club: Monday-Friday, 9am until 11.30am - order any brunch item and any size hot drink for £7.95, Teatime Tipple: Enjoy any two cocktails for just £9.95 between 4pm-8pm Sunday-Thursday, Marvellous Mondays: enjoy a free drink with any main meal from 5pm and Tremendous Tuesdays: choose any three tapas dishes and a glass of wine (after 5pm) for £13.95.  Guests over 60 can also enjoy a free pot of tea every Wednesday between 10-11am in our bid to help fight loneliness in the wise generation.

Stuart Harris, Commercial Director and Co-Founder at Queensberry, said:

“We’re looking forward to Cosy Club opening at Tunsgate Quarter next month, the second new brand to open following the successful opening of the centre in March.  It will be Cosy Club’s first restaurant in Surrey, testament to the new sophisticated and stylish destination in the centre of Guildford.  Cosy Club will add another dimension to Tunsgate Quarter’s unique and diverse dining offer.”
